Homemade Mince
Pies Recipe
Homemade Mince pies are a simple to make and delicious
to eat. If you are interested in making your own mince pies, please
follow the guidelines below.
Ingredients:

3 table spoons of mincemeat

1 egg white
-
A single portion of short crust pastry
-
1 table spoon of sugar (use fine rather than
granulated)
Instructions:
- Firstly, roll out the short crust pastry.
- Using a template pastry cutter, cut rounds for the bases and
tops of the pies.
- Place bases into a well greased pastry tin, filling each one
with a little mincemeat.
- Beat the egg white until it forms a smooth texture.
- Brush the filled pastry edges with the egg white mixture.
- Next, brush the pastry tops with the egg white and stick them
on top of the filled bases - pierce a small hole in each mince pie.
- Sprinkle some sugar on the top of each pie.
- Put in the oven for approximately 25 minutes @ 200 degrees
centigrade.
